[So it was supposed to be magic? Magic took his memory? Took his frame? And he was supposed to be content with that?]
[Not to mention, with this human body, the damage he'd taken in their rescue mission have gotten far worse. Moving hurts. Breathing hurts. The arm on his damaged side won't move without a lot of pain, and the entire left half of his body is a mess of bruises. He knows he needs help -- a mechanic, an engineer. Those should be able to help, right? Or was it ... no. Humans need 'doctors'.]
[And, as luck would have it, someone is advertising their help. So... he goes to try and locate this infirmary, roaming the halls until he can figure out where to go.]
[Just as how he woke up.]
[Stark naked and not speaking a word of English.]

So of course she runs into a strange, naked man, quite obviously injured and in need of help.
Damn it.]
You looking for the infirmary?
no subject
[Thus begins the long minute of awkward silence.]
no subject
And of course Ryn doesn't have her journal on her, because fuck that thing.
Ryn sighs, then taps her hand against her chest.]
Ryn.
no subject
Kagerou.
no subject
[Well, that takes care of introductions. Now if only Ryn could figure out how the hell to tell him she can help.
After a moment's consideration, she holds out her hand, offering it for him to shake. It's not as though she needs to tell him, after all.
Of course, she's got no fucking idea that he might not know what a handshake is.]
no subject
[A hand which he awkwardly holds out to her, looking at her for a cue.]
no subject
They're dulled now, and she knows she won't be able to heal all of it, so she concentrates on the worst of it: his arm, any damage around his lungs and ribs.
As long as he doesn't pull his hand away, he should start noticing a slow but significant decrease in pain.]
no subject
[He stares at her, half-gaping, and looking liable to bolt.]
[But for the moment, he stays put.]
no subject
But as far as she's concerned, he's a patient now, and she can't have him bolting off when she's in the middle of healing him. If her powers were at full strength - well, full strength for here - it wouldn't have been a problem, because she'd have been done quickly.
As it is, though, she offers him a smile, hoping to keep him there for just a few moments longer.
There's growing pain in her shoulder, spreading over her body, but she's used to that, and for now, she ignores it.]
no subject
[He looks down at his previously damaged hand, and the fingers actually twitch. He tries wiggling them, and is pleasantly pleased to see them responding. Whatever she's doing... it's somehow repairing the damage.]
[He lets a moment or two pass before he looks back up to her.]
Arigatou.
[It's doubtful she understands. But there it is, all the same.]
no subject
It's both because she isn't looking at his face right then, and because she's far too focused on the actual healing bit, given how dulled her powers are at the moment thanks to their fucker of a lord. It's requiring much more concentration than normal, damn it all.
She probably would understand at least that much, if she heard it, but as it is, she misses it entirely in her preoccupation. But after a little bit longer, she has to let go, because she's pretty sure she's healed as much as her limited abilities will allow. His shoulder should be fixed, and he should be able to breathe easier, but she hadn't been able to completely take care of the bruising on his left side.]
Shit. Okay, look, the infirmary is that way, okay? If you need it.
[She points in its direction.]
no subject
[He ends up peering at her, as if by studying her, watching her, he'll understand better what's happening here.]
[It doesn't seem to do any good, though. She says something, and points. He turns his head, looking that way, but ends up looking back at her, his expression questioning.]
no subject
Excellent. This is bloody difficult enough to explain with someone who understands English.
[After a moment, she pulls on the neckline of her shirt slightly, tugging it down over her left shoulder to reveal a slightly more healed version of the injury that had a few minutes ago been on Kagerou.]
It's gone, all right? Can I go get fucking drunk now?
no subject
[As it stands now, he just looks worried.]
Daijōbu ka?
[Are you okay?]
no subject
She doesn't understand the question, but she can pick up the worry just fine. Ryn nods, giving him another smile - fuck, she's smiling way too much here, for not being drunk.]
I'm fine. If you still need help, the infirmary's that way.
[She points again, then repeats:]
Help. Help, that way.
no subject
[But that doesn't clarify what she's saying. There's no magic book this time. He can't understand a word coming out of her mouth, no matter how hard he tries to figure it out.]
[She wants him to go this way? All right, he'll go this way.]
[He nods to her, and... shuffles in the direction she pointed.]
no subject
Ryn waits, hoping that even if he doesn't understand her, he'll at least head in the right direction.
When he nods, she nods back, giving an exhale of relief as he heads off towards the infirmary. Good. He can be Kloe's problem now.
She's just going to head off the other way, going for the tavern.]
no subject
Though her restlessness is instantly forgotten the moment she turns the corner and catches sight of Kagerou. She practically trips when she stops suddenly, trying hard not to let her eyes wander too far south.]
Hey! You okay?
no subject
[He has absolutely no idea what she just said. So... he just. Nods. And looks lost.]
[Maybe he should have tried to learn English before now.]
no subject
Come on, I'll take you to the infirmary.
no subject
[Then another. Still keeping his distance, though.]
no subject
She still hasn't figured out he can't understand her; she's convinced he's in shock from all those injuries.]
no subject
[He's not sure what's happening here, but she hasn't tried to attack him yet. That has to count for something.]
no subject
Come on, let's get you some help.
[She gestures with her head in the general direction of the infirmary, lightly tugging on his hand.]
no subject
[At least if he's human... they can't harm his memories. Right?]
[Still completely unaware of what she's saying, he just nods, a few too many times.]
no subject
Can you understand me?
[She keeps tugging at his hand, trying to lead him down the corridor to the door leading outside.]
no subject
[Though, once they're outside... he appears to relax. Strangely enough, seeing the sky is extremely calming. It doesn't feel as stifling.]
no subject
[The relaxing is a good sign, at least. She continues leading him across the grounds towards the infirmary, looking back at him every once in a while to make sure he's not getting too antsy.]
no subject
[But for lack of a better option, he trails after her.]
no subject
[She doesn't really know why she's bothering, since he can't understand her. But at least they were almost to the infirmary. He was so badly injured she's surprised he managed to wander around at all.]
no subject
[But he nods, wordlessly, figuring it was better than nothing. He just trails after her. It's probably for the best. Right?]
no subject
Hey, anyone in here?
no subject
[Is someone there?]
